A Kurdish Student Builds AI Robot to Support Daily Life

A young Kurdish innovator from Erbil has created an AI-powered robot designed to help people with everyday tasks. Lizan Dizayee, currently living in the Netherlands while studying in Kurdistan, has developed what she calls the “Lizan Soulbot.”

Lizan explained that her robot uses artificial intelligence to understand human emotions. It’s built to be more than just a machine—it can serve as a companion and assistant. The robot can adapt to a user’s needs and provide emotional responses that feel human-like.

“I’ve secured the rights to develop this robot,” Lizan said. She added that she is the first among the Kurds to work on such a project. Her goal is to put Kurdistan on the global map of AI and robotics innovation.

The robot runs on Wi-Fi and includes smart features powered by technologies like ChatGPT. Lizan also developed its physical components herself to ensure smooth movement and reliable task performance. She focused on designing a body that could function without technical problems.

“Lizan Soulbot” aims to support people in their homes by helping with daily activities and offering emotional interaction. Lizan hopes her work will inspire others in Kurdistan to explore AI and robotics.

Her invention marks a step forward for young Kurdish talent in global tech, especially in the growing world of artificial intelligence and smart robotics.
