Barzani Commends Qatar’s Regional Role in Erbil

President Nechirvan Barzani met with Qatari Consul General Hussein bin Ali Al-Fadala in Erbil. This meeting marked the end of Al-Fadala’s diplomatic mission in the Kurdistan Region.

During the discussion, President Barzani thanked the Qatari envoy for his efforts. He highlighted Qatar’s strong role in enhancing stability across the region. Barzani emphasized the importance of Doha’s diplomatic approach and its support for peace.

At the same time, Al-Fadala expressed his deep gratitude for the cooperation he experienced throughout his mission. He noted that the Kurdistan Region had been welcoming and supportive. He also reaffirmed Qatar’s intention to grow its ties with the Kurdistan Region through new areas of cooperation.

The meeting reflected a shared interest in maintaining positive diplomatic relations. Both sides agreed that strengthening economic and political collaboration would benefit the entire region. In addition, they underlined the value of open communication and trust between Erbil and Doha.

As the Qatari diplomat ends his service in the Region, leaders on both sides expect the relationship to continue thriving. Furthermore, officials believe these partnerships help create a more stable and prosperous Middle East.
