Counter-Terrorism forces in Garmian have captured a wanted ISIS member after a targeted intelligence operation. The arrest took place following detailed monitoring and coordination by the General Directorate of Counter-Terrorism.
The suspect had joined ISIS at the beginning of its activities and served in several administrative and military roles. He, along with his brothers, was involved in multiple killings, according to officials. Security sources confirmed he was wanted under Article 4 of the Counter-Terrorism Law.
After his capture, CTG immediately handed the suspect over to security authorities for legal action. The arrest marks another step in ongoing efforts to dismantle ISIS networks and prevent further attacks in the region.
Authorities emphasized that they will continue operations to track down any remaining members of the terrorist group. They stressed the importance of cooperation between security agencies to maintain stability and protect civilians.
