Egypt claimed the Women’s Minifootball World Cup title in Erbil, defeating Brazil in a tense penalty shootout at Handren Stadium. The final, held on Monday, marked the first time the global tournament was hosted in the Kurdistan Region.
Six teams competed: Brazil, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Lebanon, and the Kurdistan Region. In the semi-finals, Egypt overcame the host team while Brazil eliminated Lebanon. Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani attended the final, underscoring its importance.
