Elderly Farmer in Akre Cultivates Thriving Orchard for 55 Years

In the village of Barava Musa, near the town of Akre, 70-year-old farmer Mam Nimat has dedicated nearly 55 years of his life to cultivating a lush and productive orchard. Since the age of 15, he has worked tirelessly planting and caring for thousands of fruit trees, creating a verdant grove that produces a wide variety of fruits.

Mam Nimat personally tends to every tree, ensuring they grow healthy and strong. His orchard yields high-quality fruits, including pomegranates, plums, apricots, quinces, grapes, and several other types of seasonal produce. He oversees all aspects of the orchard, carefully monitoring growth and harvest to maintain the health of each tree.

Beyond the hard work, Mam Nimat shares his harvest freely with villagers. Any child or resident who desires fruit is welcome to pick from his trees, reflecting his generosity and dedication to the community. This practice has made the orchard a valued local resource and symbol of communal spirit.

For Mam Nimat, tending the orchard is more than farming; it is a lifelong vocation and a form of devotion. He approaches his work with patience and love, seeing it as both a personal mission and a way to serve others. His dedication has turned the orchard into a thriving, fruit-filled haven, admired by all in the village.

His story represents resilience, commitment, and generosity, demonstrating how one person’s lifelong labor can create beauty, sustenance, and joy for an entire community.
