Erbil Health Directorate Denies Rumors About Privatizing Rizgary Hospital

The Erbil Health Directorate has firmly rejected recent rumors suggesting the Rizgary Hospital will be transferred to a private company.

A media channel claimed that a member of parliament had said Rozgary Hospital in Erbil would soon fall under private sector management. The report provided no sources or documents to support the claim.

In response, Dr. Dlovan Mohammed, General Director of Erbil Health, issued a clear statement. He said, “This rumor is completely false, and we strongly deny it.”

He clarified that Rizgary Hospital has remained under government supervision for over eight months. Its services continue as usual, with no changes in administration or ownership.

Furthermore, Dr. Mohammed emphasized that no formal decision or discussion has taken place regarding privatizing the hospital.

The Erbil Health Directorate assured citizens that the hospital remains public. They urged the public not to believe such baseless reports, especially those without credible sources.

The directorate also criticized the original report, calling it misleading and unprofessional. They stressed the importance of verifying facts before spreading sensitive information about public services.

In conclusion, Rizgary Hospital will continue serving the people under public health authority, without any interference from private companies.
