Halabja Governor Condemns Aleppo Violence

Halabja Governor Nuxsha Nasih led a public rally condemning recent violence against Kurdish communities in Aleppo. The demonstration took place amid heightened regional concern over civilian safety. Participants gathered to denounce attacks and demand stronger international action.

During the rally, Nasih strongly criticized the targeting of Kurdish neighborhoods. She emphasized the humanitarian cost of the fighting, especially for displaced families and civilians. Moreover, she urged global actors to intervene and ensure protection for vulnerable populations. She stressed that silence encourages further violence.

The protest followed days of intense combat in Aleppo and surrounding areas. According to organizers, the clashes caused significant destruction and displacement. Consequently, international mediation efforts led to a ceasefire agreement. The deal also included the evacuation of civilians from affected zones.

Nasih welcomed the ceasefire but warned that temporary pauses do not guarantee lasting safety. She called for sustained international monitoring and accountability. In addition, she urged humanitarian organizations to increase aid delivery to displaced families. She highlighted shortages of shelter, medical care, and basic supplies.

Protesters carried banners expressing solidarity with Aleppo’s Kurdish residents. They chanted slogans demanding justice and international responsibility. Furthermore, speakers at the rally emphasized unity among Kurdish regions during times of crisis. They argued that collective action strengthens political advocacy.

Local officials in Halabja Governor expressed concern over the broader implications of the violence. They warned that instability in Aleppo could spread if left unaddressed. Therefore, they called on global institutions to enforce ceasefire commitments and support political solutions.

Observers noted that the rally reflected growing public frustration over repeated cycles of violence. The demonstration also underscored demands for stronger international engagement. Ultimately, the event highlighted Halabja’s call for peace, civilian protection, and lasting stability in Aleppo.
