ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Parliamentary Bloc has strongly condemned an attack targeting the residence of Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani in Duhok, describing the incident as a serious threat to stability and security.
In a statement, the bloc stressed that such attacks cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. It warned that targeting leadership figures and official sites undermines public confidence and challenges the rule of law.
The KDP called on security authorities to act swiftly. It urged them to investigate the incident thoroughly and bring those responsible to justice. The bloc emphasized that accountability remains essential to preventing future attacks.

In addition, the KDP reaffirmed its full support for the region’s leadership. It stressed that such incidents will not weaken the determination of the Kurdistan Region to protect its institutions and citizens.
