The Zahawi Music House will soon host a special concert in the city of Halabja. Importantly, this event will feature two distinct Kurdish musical groups. One group originates from Eastern Kurdistan, while the other comes from Southern Kurdistan. Consequently, the performance promises a unique cultural fusion.
Hajar Zahawi, the founder and director of the music house, is organizing the event. He recently announced the details publicly. Specifically, the concert will take place on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Furthermore, the venue will be Halabja Park. This event continues their successful series of concerts this year.
Regarding the performers, Zahawi confirmed the participating artists. The “Nôjîn” music group from Eastern Kurdistan will perform. Additionally, the musical project “11:11” from Southern Kurdistan will take the stage. Therefore, audiences will experience a diverse range of Kurdish musical styles.
The primary goal of the Zahawi Music House is to showcase talent. They aim to introduce Kurdish bands from all parts of Kurdistan. Moreover, they want to bring these artists together in a single, unifying event. This concert perfectly aligns with that mission.
The event will begin at 8:00 PM in the evening. Attendance is open to the general public. Everyone is welcome to enjoy this celebration of music. The “11:11” project has been active for two years. It focuses on connecting authentic Kurdish art with modern sounds. Recently, they released a new video for a reinterpreted song by Mohammad Mamle.
