Kurdish poet Ahmad Muhammad recently announced an exciting new poetry series. He will host events across Germany and Denmark. The Kurdish Cultural Center in Germany actively supports this initiative. Furthermore, the tour will connect with the Kurdish diaspora community.
Muhammad will read his powerful poems at each event. He will also introduce his latest poetry collection, “Teman.” Importantly, he will personally sign copies for attendees. This direct interaction makes the tour very special.
Author Nawzad Qaftan generously sponsors the entire project. He is funding both the book’s publication and the European tour. Qaftan will also manage the events within Germany. Meanwhile, the Copenhagen event will feature a local partner. The “Dialogue Association” will organize that specific gathering.
The schedule includes several key dates. First, the tour starts in Darmstadt on August 30th. Next, a reading follows in Frankfurt on August 31st. Then, Berlin will host an event on September 6th. After that, the tour moves to Copenhagen on September 14th. Finally, it concludes with stops in Hanover and Nuremberg.
This series offers a vital cultural connection for Kurds abroad. It also celebrates the richness of contemporary Kurdish poetry. The tour promises to be a significant literary event.
