Preparations are now complete for the Seventh Sulaymaniyah International Book Fair. The event will open its doors tomorrow. Moreover, it will run from October 3rd until October 13th. Organizers expect a very large turnout this year. Consequently, they have planned many new features.
Hassan Rahim, the event coordinator, explained the changes. He stated this year’s fair will differ significantly from previous editions. Furthermore, these differences cover all areas of the event. The organization will see major improvements. Additionally, the number and variety of participants will increase. The book selections will also feature more diverse content.
In total, 150 publishing houses will participate. These publishers will showcase millions of books. They will also present hundreds of thousands of titles. The books will be in many different languages. Importantly, 70 of these publishers are international. These foreign participants come from 16 different countries.
The fair will also provide free transportation for visitors. Therefore, nearly 40 buses will run continuously. These buses will ferry people from the city center to the fairgrounds. This service aims to make access easier for everyone.
The official opening ceremony starts at 10 AM on Friday, October 3rd. Subsequently, the fair will open to the general public at 2 PM that same day. It will then remain open daily from 10 AM until 8 PM. Finally, the event will conclude on October 13th
