Kurdistan – Dana Gas Restores Full Output at Khor Mor

Dana Gas restored full production at the Khor Mor gas field after the recent attack, and the company credited rapid security actions from both Erbil and Baghdad for the quick stabilization. The company moved fast to restart operations, and technicians worked around the clock to bring every unit back online. As a result, the field returned to normal output levels without delay.

Company officials stressed that close coordination with security agencies improved the response. They noted that joint teams addressed immediate risks and strengthened protection around the site. Moreover, Erbil and Baghdad increased their cooperation throughout the recovery process, which created a smoother environment for the company’s technical crews.

Production teams followed a strict plan to inspect equipment and verify safety standards. They checked pipelines, compressors, and control rooms and cleared each section for operation. This approach allowed the facility to resume gas deliveries to power stations across the Kurdistan Region.

Local authorities also emphasized the field’s importance for electricity generation. They explained that the quick restoration helped maintain steady power supplies for communities and industries. They added that the region needs stronger air and ground protection to prevent future disruptions.

Dana Gas reaffirmed its commitment to long-term investment in the Kurdistan Region and stated that it will continue expanding operations. The company plans further upgrades to improve efficiency and strengthen resilience.
