Kurdistan – PM Barzani and Ambassador Alamanos Strengthen Partnership

Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met Greek Ambassador Giorgios Alamanos and highlighted the steady growth of relations between Kurdistan and Greece. The meeting focused on deeper cooperation across development, trade, and cultural exchange. Both sides stressed the need for stronger coordination as new regional challenges emerge.

Prime Minister Barzani outlined Kurdistan’s ongoing reform plans and emphasized the government’s push to modernize services. He explained how new projects in infrastructure, energy, and digitization create opportunities for foreign partners. He also encouraged more Greek companies to explore investment prospects in the region.

Ambassador Alamanos praised Kurdistan’s progress and pointed to the region’s stability as a key factor for future collaboration. He congratulated Prime Minister Barzani on the successful implementation of major reforms that improved governance and encouraged economic growth. Furthermore, he reaffirmed Greece’s commitment to expanding ties with Kurdistan and increasing engagement in development initiatives.
