Kurdistan President Nechirvan Barzani Urges Baghdad to Stop Attacks After Deadly Erbil Drone Strike

President Nechirvan Barzani called on Baghdad to stop attacks following a deadly drone strike in Erbil. The incident killed civilians and raised serious security concerns.

In a statement, President Nechirvan Barzani stressed the need for immediate action. He said the federal government must fulfill its responsibilities. “It is necessary for the Federal Government of Iraq to prevent these crimes and terrorist attacks,” he said.

He also emphasized the need to protect civilians. According to Barzani, such attacks must not be repeated. Therefore, he urged stronger measures to ensure safety across the Kurdistan Region. Meanwhile, the drone strike caused fear among residents. As a result, local authorities increased security and monitoring in affected areas.

Kurdish officials expressed concern over repeated attacks. They warned that continued violence threatens regional stability. Furthermore, this incident comes amid rising tensions in Iraq and the wider region. Several drone and missile attacks have been reported in recent weeks.
