Kurdistan Region Weather Forecast: Partly Cloudy Today, Warmer Thursday

Meteorologists in the Kurdistan Region have released the forecast. The sky is expected to be partly cloudy across most areas, while temperatures remain mostly stable. Good weather is expected tomorrow, with slightly higher temperatures and clearer skies.

According to the Regional Meteorology and Seismology Directorate, today’s temperatures will remain similar to yesterday’s readings. On Thursday, temperatures are expected to rise by approximately two degrees, bringing warmer and more comfortable conditions across the region.

Only Kirkuk and Germian are expected to reach 40°C today, while most other cities will experience lower temperatures. Wind speeds are forecast at 5–15 km/h, coming from the north-northeast. Visibility will be generally good, ranging from 8 to 10 kilometers.

  • Sulaymaniyah: 35°C
  • Duhok: 37°C
  • Kirkuk: 40°C
  • Zakho: 38°C
  • Halabja: 38°C
  • Soran: 36°C
  • Haji Omaran: 28°C
  • Germian: 42°C

The partly cloudy conditions today are expected to have minimal impact on daily activities. Residents are advised to stay hydrated in areas experiencing higher temperatures, particularly in Germian and Kirkuk.

Meteorologists note that the warmer weather on Thursday should bring more sunshine and stable conditions, making it ideal for outdoor activities and travel across the region.

Overall, the Kurdistan Region will see moderate temperatures and generally clear skies for the next 24 hours, with only minor fluctuations in some areas. Citizens should continue to monitor local updates for any sudden changes in wind or visibility conditions.
