Kurdistan’s Nechirvan Barzani Launches KDP Campaign in Sulaimani

Sulaimani – Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Vice President Nechirvan Barzani officially launched the KDP’s List 275 campaign in Sulaimani on Sunday, emphasizing unity and determination ahead of the Iraqi parliamentary elections.

Addressing a large crowd of supporters, Barzani described the people of Sulaimani as “the heart of the KDP” and vital to shaping Kurdistan’s political future. “One million without you has no taste,” he said, highlighting the region’s importance to the party’s broader vision for prosperity and stability.

Barzani praised the Kurdistan Region’s resilience, noting that the KDP’s success depends on cooperation and shared purpose among all communities. He urged voters to stand firm against attempts to divide the Kurdish people, stressing that only through strong representation in Baghdad can Kurdistan protect its constitutional rights and ensure continued development.

Throughout his speech, Barzani underlined the importance of dialogue and coexistence across Kurdistan’s diverse political and social spectrum. He reaffirmed that the KDP seeks a stronger role in Baghdad to secure fair treatment and lasting economic growth for the Region.

As campaign activities continue, the Sulaimani rally marked a significant step in mobilizing support for the KDP’s vision of a united and forward-looking Kurdistan.
