Kurdistan’s Zagros Fattah: Projects Implemented Using Local Revenue

Zagros Fattah, a senior official in the Kurdistan Regional Government, stated that development projects across the region are being executed using local revenues. He emphasized that relying on domestic income ensures financial stability and reduces dependence on external funding.

Fattah explained that the KRG prioritizes projects that improve public services, infrastructure, and local economic growth. By using internally generated funds, the government can plan and implement initiatives more efficiently and transparently.

He added that this approach supports long-term sustainability and allows the region to respond quickly to citizens’ needs. Local revenue sources include taxes, fees, and income from regional enterprises.

Fattah also highlighted that investing in projects through local funding strengthens Kurdistan’s autonomy and encourages community involvement in regional development.

He concluded by reaffirming the government’s commitment to using resources responsibly and ensuring that citizens directly benefit from every development project implemented with local revenues.
