Masoud Barzani Warns of Ethnic Cleansing in Aleppo

President Masoud Barzani issued a strong warning about escalating threats against Kurds in Aleppo. He said violence now targets Kurdish civilians because of their ethnic identity. Therefore, he described the situation as a dangerous slide toward ethnic cleansing. Moreover, Masoud Barzani expressed deep concern over continued clashes inside Kurdish neighborhoods.

He stressed that armed confrontations only increase civilian suffering. As a result, he urged immediate political and military restraint. Additionally, Masoud Barzani called on Kurdish parties to act responsibly.

He specifically addressed the Syrian Democratic Forces leadership. He urged them to take concrete steps to stop the fighting. Furthermore, Masoud Barzani emphasized unity as the strongest protection for Kurdish communities. He warned that internal divisions weaken Kurdish positions.
