My Account Scam Alert: Protect Your PIN and OTP from Fraud

The My Account scam alert team is warning users about a rise in fraudulent activities targeting bank account holders. These scams aim to steal sensitive information and gain access to users’ money.

According to the “My Account” project team, users must remain cautious. Fraudsters often pretend to be bank employees. They may try to collect personal banking data. However, even your own bank does not have the right to ask for certain private details.

The warning highlights key points that users must remember. Never share the following information with anyone:

  • Your account name
  • Your four-digit PIN code
  • The three-digit number on the back of your bank card
  • OTP (One-Time Password) codes sent via SMS

The My Account scam alert emphasizes that these details are meant to stay private. No real bank employee will ever ask for them.

Fraudsters usually call or message users and pretend to fix an issue with the account. They may say that your card will be blocked or that money is at risk. Their goal is to trick you into sharing your personal banking information.

To stay safe, always double-check any messages or calls claiming to be from your bank. Contact your bank directly through official channels if you are unsure.

The My Account scam alert team urges users to be alert and share this message with family and friends. Raising awareness can help prevent further scams.
