Haji Omran – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani inaugurated the new dual road project in Haji Omran, emphasizing the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and regional development. The project forms a key part of the Ninth Cabinet’s long-term vision for building a self-reliant and prosperous Kurdistan.
During the inauguration ceremony, PM Barzani stated that strong infrastructure is the foundation of economic growth and national progress. He highlighted that the KRG remains determined to connect all regions of Kurdistan with modern, high-quality roads that improve trade, tourism, and public services.
“This project reflects our government’s promise to deliver tangible improvements in people’s lives,” Barzani said. He noted that the Haji Omran route serves as a strategic link between Erbil and the Iranian border, facilitating commercial activity and fostering stronger regional ties.
The dual road is one of several large-scale infrastructure initiatives completed under the KDP-led government, which continues to prioritize sustainable development and public welfare.
As Iraq moves toward the November 11 elections, the project also demonstrates the KRG’s record of achievement and its ability to turn development plans into visible realities across the Kurdistan Region.
