Prime Minister Masrour Barzani held talks with Mazloum Abdi, the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), to discuss ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions in Western Kurdistan.

Abdi said the discussions focused on recent regional security developments. Both leaders reviewed coordination between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the SDF.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Barzani reaffirmed the KRG’s support for the SDF and the civilian population in Western Kurdistan. He emphasized that the government remains committed to providing humanitarian aid and protection.
