Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received a high-level delegation from the United Arab Emirates to discuss expanding cooperation in governance, innovation, and sustainable development. The visit reflects growing ties between the Kurdistan Region and the UAE in areas of modernization and institutional reform.
The delegation included senior officials from the UAE Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministries of Cabinet Affairs, Climate Change and Environment, Telecommunications and Digital Government, and Health and Prevention. Both sides explored opportunities to exchange expertise and implement advanced systems that enhance public services and digital transformation.
Prime Minister Barzani highlighted the Kurdistan Regional Government’s reform agenda, which focuses on transparency, efficiency, and the adoption of modern technologies to improve governance. He praised the UAE’s successful experience in innovation and sustainable administration as a model for regional collaboration.
The UAE delegation commended the Kurdistan Region’s progress in economic development and digital reform, expressing readiness to deepen partnership through joint initiatives and capacity-building programs.
