President Masoud Barzani received Berivan Aymaz, Deputy Speaker of Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament, in Erbil to discuss political developments and Kurdish issues across the region. The meeting formed part of ongoing diplomatic engagement between Kurdish leaders and European political figures.
During the talks, both sides reviewed the situation of the Kurdish diaspora in Germany. They highlighted the role of Kurdish communities in strengthening cultural and political ties between the Kurdistan Region and European institutions. Moreover, they emphasized the importance of protecting democratic values and peaceful political participation.
