Soran Begins Rupesand Tourism Project

The Kurdistan Regional Government has launched the Rupesand tourism project in Soran. Leaders believe this initiative will strengthen the city’s role as a major destination. They emphasized that natural beauty, historical sites, and cultural heritage give Soran a unique advantage.

The new project focuses on expanding green spaces and improving visitor facilities. This effort will create more comfortable areas for families and travelers. At the same time, it will enhance the city’s reputation as an attractive tourism hub.

Officials explained that the plan covers both urban and rural locations. They want to highlight mountain scenery, rivers, and cultural landmarks together. By linking these features, Soran can offer visitors a complete and memorable experience.

In addition, the government aims to attract international visitors while supporting local tourism. Therefore, new infrastructure will include rest areas, walking paths, and recreational zones. These facilities will raise the standard of services and encourage longer stays.

The project also supports the local economy. Construction will generate jobs, and stronger tourism will boost restaurants, hotels, and shops. As more visitors arrive, the city will benefit from increased investment and new opportunities.

Furthermore, officials stressed that sustainability forms a key part of the project. Protecting natural resources while expanding tourism remains an important goal. They said that careful planning ensures growth without harming the environment.

Overall, the Rupesand project marks a step toward a brighter future for Soran. By combining nature, culture, and modern facilities, the city can secure a leading place in the region’s tourism map.
