Temperatures Expected to Become Lower Across Kurdistan

Kurdistan is experiencing continued low temperatures due to a northern heatwave, according to local meteorologists. The lowering heat is affecting daily life and weather patterns across the region.

Meteorologists highlighted that the first day of autumn in the north will last around 88 days, 23 hours, and 41 minutes. In the south, the autumn season will extend to 91 days.

Looking ahead, he predicted that next year, autumn in the north will last approximately 92 days, while in the south, it will last about 89 days.

Residents of Kurdistan should prepare for high daytime temperatures and cooler nights. Meteorologists also warn that fluctuations may occur due to local weather patterns.

Here are the expected temperature ranges in major cities of the Kurdistan Region:

  • Erbil: High 32°C, Low 18°C
  • Sulaymaniyah: High 29°C, Low 19°C
  • Kirkuk: High 32°C, Low 21°C
  • Duhok: High 26°C, Low 13°C
  • Halabja: High 30°C, Low 16°C
  • Zakho: High 30°C, Low 17°C
  • Soran: High 27°C, Low 13°C
  • Raperin: High 28°C, Low 17°C
  • Germian: High 33°C, Low 19°C
  • Haji Omran: High 19°C, Low 7°C
  • Aqra: High 22°C, Low 11°C
