Drone Strikes on Kurdistan Raise Alarms Over National Stability

Sulaymaniyah – The Secretary of the Communist Party has raised serious concerns about recent drone attacks targeting areas within the Kurdistan Region. He warned that continued assaults not only threaten the region’s security but also endanger national stability.

Speaking at a press event, the party leader demanded swift action from the central government. He urged officials in Baghdad to reveal who is behind the drone strikes and hold them accountable. According to him, silence and delay only add to public suspicion and unrest.

The attacks have caused growing fear among residents, especially near sensitive infrastructure and civilian zones. Officials in the Kurdistan Region have repeatedly called for better coordination and stronger defense against these threats.

The Secretary also highlighted the broader risks to national unity. He explained that repeated violations of Kurdistan’s airspace create tension and weaken trust between regional and federal authorities. In his words, “Ignoring these attacks weakens the state and encourages more aggression.”

In recent weeks, drone incidents have sparked outrage among political parties, citizens, and civil society groups. Many demand transparency and firm measures to stop further escalation.

Leaders across the Kurdistan Region continue to urge immediate steps to protect civilians and preserve stability.
