KRG Ninth Cabinet Launches More Than 1,200 Projects in Erbil

The Kurdistan Regional Government’s ninth cabinet announced the completion and implementation of over 1,200 projects in Erbil province. The total value of these initiatives reaches about $915 million, marking one of the largest investment drives in recent years.

The announcement came during a meeting led by Umed Sabah, President of the Diwan of Council of Ministers, alongside Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw. The gathering included general directors, district mayors, and heads of service offices from across the province.

During the session, officials highlighted the government’s focus on improving infrastructure, health, education, and public services. They stressed that the projects aim to boost economic growth while also raising the quality of life for residents.

Governor Khoshnaw emphasized that balanced development across districts remains a priority. He explained that the government designed these projects to serve both urban and rural communities. Umed Sabah also underlined that cooperation among institutions ensures faster progress and stronger results.

Many of the projects involve building new schools, hospitals, and roads. Others focus on modernizing water systems and electricity networks. Authorities believe these investments will strengthen Erbil’s role as a leading center for trade, tourism, and culture.

Leaders at the meeting agreed that the projects demonstrate a clear commitment to long-term development. They also expressed confidence that Erbil will continue attracting both local and foreign investment in the years ahead.
