Erbil will host a special concert for World Music Day. The event celebrates global music’s power. It also honors Kurdistan’s own rich musical heritage.
The prestigious Peshawa Hall in Erbil will hold the event. Furthermore, the Erbil General Directorate of Culture and Arts is organizing everything. This directorate belongs to the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Culture. The Erbil Governorate is also coordinating the event.
Sarmad Fuad, head of Erbil’s music section, is the supervisor. He announced the concert’s details recently. The event carries the theme “We commemorate Erbil’s musical pride.” Moreover, everyone receives a warm invitation to attend.
The program will feature works from several distinguished Kurdish artists. Additionally, Sarmad Fuad rearranged the musical distribution for some pieces. The concert also includes a special surprise for music lovers. Several young singers will make their stage debut there.
Approximately fifty artists and members will participate in the performance. Consequently, the event promises a vibrant showcase of local talent. World Music Day falls on October 1st each year. The International Music Council established this day in 1975. It highlights music’s unique ability to cross cultural boundaries. It also promotes peace and celebrates diverse expression. People around the globe mark the day with concerts and activities.
