PM Masrour Barzani Opens 100-Bed Shorsh Hospital in Amedi to Expand Services

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani inaugurated the new 100-bed Shorsh Hospital in Amedi, aiming to provide broader healthcare services across the Kurdistan Region. The hospital is expected to significantly benefit residents in the surrounding areas.

According to official sources, the hospital is located in the Hittite community in the Derewoki area of Amedi district. It is a general hospital built to international standards with an investment of $43 million, providing modern medical facilities for patients.

At the inauguration ceremony, Masrour Barzani stated that the project was initiated following President Masoud Barzani’s request and the strong demand from local citizens for a high-quality healthcare facility. He emphasized that the hospital would serve the community effectively and meet their medical needs locally.

With the opening of Shorsh Hospital, residents of the district no longer need to travel to other cities for treatment, as the hospital offers comprehensive services and modern healthcare equipment.
