President Nechirvan Barzani Discusses Syria and Regional Developments with U.S. Envoy

Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani held a phone conversation with Tom Barrack, the U.S. Special Envoy for Syria and Ambassador to Türkiye, to discuss the situation in Syria and recent regional developments.

According to a statement from the Kurdish Presidency, both leaders emphasized the importance of addressing regional challenges through dialogue and mutual understanding. They agreed that continued communication and cooperation are key to maintaining stability and resolving conflicts peacefully.

Barrack praised Barzani’s efforts in fostering dialogue between Kurdish groups in Syria, describing his role as crucial in promoting constructive engagement. He encouraged Barzani to continue his efforts in bridging divisions and supporting cooperation among Kurdish actors in the region.
