PM Masrour Barzani Inaugurates Major Livestock and Slaughterhouse Project in Erbil

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani inaugurated the Megal Livestock and Slaughterhouse Project in Erbil, describing it as “a significant initiative for the Kurdistan Region.” The project aims to improve food production, create jobs, and enhance the overall quality of life for citizens.

During his speech at the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Barzani emphasized that the project represents an important step in strengthening the region’s agricultural and industrial sectors. He noted that such initiatives align with the Kurdistan Regional Government’s broader strategy to boost local production and reduce dependency on imports.

Barzani highlighted that the project will provide essential services, ensure food safety, and support local farmers and producers through modern, sustainable methods. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting private investment in key sectors that drive economic growth.

The Megal Project stands as one of the largest of its kind in the Kurdistan Region, symbolizing progress in both infrastructure and economic development.
