Kurdistan Offers Autumn Skin Care Tips to Protect Hands and Face

As autumn arrives, the changing weather brings cooler air and lower humidity, which can affect the skin. Experts in Kurdistan are advising residents on how to prevent dryness and maintain healthy hands and facial skin during the season.

Dermatologist Zhwan Amjad explained that people often face increased risk of skin dryness in autumn. Cooler temperatures and natural moisture loss can cause cracks, rough patches, and irritation. He stressed that everyone should take extra care of their skin during this period.

Amjad recommended avoiding prolonged soaking in water or excessive use of soap and detergents, which can strip natural oils. He emphasized that while cleanliness is essential, overdoing it can harm the skin. Residents should also avoid harsh environmental exposure that can worsen dryness.

Furthermore, he suggested applying suitable moisturizing creams or oils after washing hands or exposure to water. These products help restore the skin’s protective barrier, maintain softness, and prevent premature aging.

For women working at home, Amjad advised wearing gloves when handling cleaning products or detergents. Protective gloves reduce direct contact with harsh chemicals and help preserve the skin’s health. He said that careful attention and regular moisturizing keep hands smooth and resilient.

Amjad also addressed men working with chemicals, paint, or building materials, such as carpenters, painters, and construction workers. He recommended regular moisturizing and avoiding rough contact to prevent cracks, redness, or irritation. He urged anyone who notices persistent skin problems to consult a dermatologist promptly.

By following these steps, residents of Kurdistan can maintain healthy, nourished skin throughout the autumn season.
