The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) expressed firm support for Turkey’s ongoing peace process, underscoring its commitment to regional stability and dialogue. Head of the KRG Department of Foreign Relations, Safeen Dizayee, said that the government and all political parties in the Kurdistan Region stand united in backing peaceful resolutions to long-standing issues.
Dizayee emphasized that peace and stability in neighboring countries directly affect the security and prosperity of the Kurdistan Region. He explained that cooperation between Erbil and Ankara remains vital for maintaining economic growth, trade, and cross-border development projects.
He stated clearly, “The KRG and all political parties in the Kurdistan Region support the peace process in Turkey.” Dizayee added that constructive dialogue offers the best path forward for resolving conflicts and fostering mutual understanding between communities.
Furthermore, he highlighted that the Kurdistan Region values its role as a bridge for peace and cooperation across the Middle East. He said that the KRG continues to encourage open communication and respect for all ethnic and political groups.
Dizayee concluded by noting that sustainable peace in Turkey would strengthen regional cooperation and create better opportunities for trade, investment, and shared development between both sides.
