Kurdistan President Barzani Meets Religious Leaders in Duhok During Campaign Tour

Duhok – President Masoud Barzani met with a group of religious leaders and scholars in Duhok on Wednesday as part of his campaign activities ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections.

During the meeting, Barzani expressed deep appreciation for the role of religious figures in preserving social harmony and moral values across the Kurdistan Region. He emphasized that unity among spiritual and political leaders remains essential for maintaining stability and guiding the younger generation toward peace and coexistence.

Barzani also highlighted the importance of cooperation between community leaders and government institutions, stressing that religion should continue to inspire compassion, tolerance, and service to the people. “The faith of our society has always been a source of strength,” he said. “Together, we can protect Kurdistan’s achievements and build a better future for all.”

The religious leaders in attendance voiced their support for peace and moderation, reaffirming their readiness to work closely with public institutions to counter social division and extremism.

The meeting marked another stop in Barzani’s series of campaign events across the Kurdistan Region, where he continues to promote dialogue, unity, and progress.
