Kurdistan’s Masrour Barzani: Only KDP Can Protect Kurdish Rights in Baghdad

Erbil – Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Vice President Masrour Barzani reaffirmed his party’s central role in defending the rights of the Kurdish people within Iraq’s political system. Speaking at a campaign event, he declared that only a strong KDP presence in Baghdad can ensure justice, democracy, and national dignity for the Kurdistan Region.

Barzani outlined a clear vision for his party’s representatives in the Iraqi Parliament. He emphasized that KDP candidates will “safeguard the rights of the Kurdish people and all communities, defend democracy and freedom, and reject secret political deals that betray the public’s trust.”

Throughout his address, Barzani underscored the importance of transparency and loyalty to the people. He argued that the KDP’s record in governance demonstrates its commitment to both stability and progress. “We work openly, we serve honestly, and we never compromise the nation’s rights,” he said.

He also urged voters to support the KDP’s List 275 in the upcoming elections, noting that a strong electoral mandate will strengthen Kurdistan’s hand in negotiations with Baghdad.

By concluding his remarks with a message of confidence and unity, Barzani called on all Kurds to stand together behind the KDP’s leadership, saying that collective strength is the key to protecting Kurdistan’s future.
