Kurdistan Region officials underscored both security and voter participation as key priorities during Iraq’s parliamentary election. Meanwhile, Police Chief Major General Tariq Ahmed announced that a comprehensive security plan covers all polling stations throughout the Kurdistan Region. He confirmed that police units and security forces are working in full coordination to guarantee safety and prevent any disturbances during voting hours.
Local reports indicate a strong voter turnout across Erbil, Duhok, and Sulaimani, with citizens showing enthusiasm and confidence in the democratic process. Authorities emphasized that public cooperation with security teams is essential to maintaining the peaceful environment observed so far.
