PM Masrour Barzani delivered a firm message after the latest strike on the Khor Mor gas field. He said the attackers targeted millions of civilians and tried to slow Kurdistan’s progress. He described the perpetrators as “cowardly and inhumane,” and he stressed that no one can normalize terror against the people of Kurdistan. He also warned that every individual involved in the assault will face full accountability.
Barzani explained that the Khor Mor attack created darkness across the region and disrupted essential services. He said the attackers acted out of fear of Kurdistan’s development and its growing stability. Moreover, he argued that these groups always attempt to derail economic growth and weaken public confidence. He insisted that the government will not allow such threats to shape the future.
Barzani praised the technical teams who moved quickly to stabilize electricity supplies. He said their commitment showed the strength of Kurdistan’s institutions. He also encouraged security forces to intensify efforts and track every group behind the strike. Additionally, he highlighted the need for stronger defensive systems that protect critical energy facilities from missiles and drones.
The Prime Minister called for unified support from allies. He said regional and international partners must recognize the seriousness of repeated attacks on vital infrastructure. He urged them to increase cooperation and help improve Kurdistan’s defensive capabilities. He emphasized that continued aggression demands a coordinated response.
Barzani ended his remarks with a clear pledge to protect the people of Kurdistan. He said progress will continue despite threats, and he promised justice for those affected by the attack.
