Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani welcomed the new Czech Consul Lukáš Gjurič during a meeting that focused on strengthening long-standing ties. He also condemned the recent Khor Mor attack and expressed concern over threats targeting essential infrastructure. Additionally, he called for joint efforts to enhance security coordination and protect vital economic facilities.
Barzani and Gjurič discussed opportunities for broader collaboration in trade, investment, education, and culture. They noted that Czech companies show growing interest in the Kurdish market, and they explored ways to encourage more direct cooperation between institutions in both sides.
