Kurdistan – President Masoud Barzani Honors Women’s Union and Highlights Its National Role

President Masoud Barzani marked the 73rd anniversary of the Kurdistan Women’s Union with a message that highlighted its deep national importance. He described the Union as a vital achievement of the Kurdish struggle and emphasized that the organization continues to amplify women’s voices across the Kurdistan Region. He also stressed that Kurdish women shape the nation’s progress through courage, contribution, and consistent dedication.

President Barzani noted that the Women’s Union strengthens women’s rights through continuous advocacy and community engagement. He explained that the Union connects generations of Kurdish women and guides young leaders toward greater participation in public life. Moreover, he praised the Union for promoting education, protecting freedoms, and encouraging social responsibility. He said these efforts help Kurdish society grow more stable, compassionate, and unified.

Throughout his statement, President Barzani highlighted how the Kurdish liberation movement grew stronger through women’s sacrifices.
