Libya Kurdish Migrants Crisis

A serious crisis unfolded as 147 Kurdish migrants became stranded in Libya after attempting the dangerous journey toward Europe. However, smugglers abruptly stopped the trip and abandoned the group, citing security risks along the route.

As a result, the migrants remain trapped without protection, stable shelter, or clear options for movement. Moreover, families reported worsening conditions, including food shortages, limited water, and lack of medical care.

Meanwhile, relatives launched urgent appeals and contacted officials and humanitarian organizations for immediate intervention. They demanded coordination with Libyan authorities to secure safe relocation or voluntary return.

According to families, smugglers demanded additional payments, but relatives refused further exploitation and cut communication. Consequently, migrants now face heightened fear of detention, violence, and abuse.

At the same time, families warned about severe psychological stress affecting both migrants and relatives. They described constant anxiety, emotional exhaustion, and growing despair.

Furthermore, migration activists highlighted the dangers of irregular migration routes and urged stronger awareness efforts. They also called for legal migration alternatives to prevent similar tragedies.

In addition, families criticized weak international coordination and warned delays worsen humanitarian risks. Therefore, they requested urgent diplomatic action to protect lives. Nevertheless, relatives continue sharing information publicly and maintain hope for swift resolution.
