Erbil–Tehran Flights Continue Without Interruption

Flights between Erbil and Tehran continue to operate without any suspension, according to officials at Erbil International Airport. The airport administration confirmed that air traffic between the two cities remains active despite regional developments and public speculation.

The Director of Erbil International Airport stated that there is no decision to halt flights on the Erbil–Tehran route. He emphasized that operations continue under normal scheduling and aviation procedures. Currently, airlines operate two active flights per week between Erbil and Tehran.

According to airport officials, the total number of scheduled flights on this route stands at six per week. However, only two flights are operating at present due to airline-specific planning and passenger demand. Authorities stressed that this does not indicate a suspension or restriction imposed by the airport.

Airport management also confirmed ongoing coordination with airlines and relevant authorities. They noted that safety, security, and operational assessments remain in place, as with all international routes. Officials reassured passengers that Erbil International Airport continues to follow international aviation standards.

The Erbil–Tehran route serves both commercial and personal travel needs. It remains an important connection for business travelers, families, and medical travel. Airport officials highlighted that maintaining regular flight operations supports regional connectivity and economic activity.

In recent days, rumors circulated regarding possible flight disruptions. However, airport authorities dismissed those claims and urged the public to rely on official statements. They advised travelers to check directly with airlines for the latest scheduling updates.

Erbil International Airport reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining stable air traffic operations. Officials stated that any future changes would be announced transparently through official channels. For now, flights between Erbil and Tehran continue without interruption, ensuring ongoing connectivity between the two cities.
