Minister Ano Jawhar Represents Kurdistan at Religious Freedom Summit

Kurdistan Regional Government Minister Ano Jawhar represented the Kurdistan Region at the International Religious Freedom Summit in Washington. The event brought together government officials, lawmakers, and faith leaders from around the world. Moreover, participants discussed coexistence, tolerance, and the protection of religious communities.

During the summit, Jawhar highlighted the Kurdistan Region’s long-standing commitment to religious freedom. He stressed that the Region continues to protect diverse ethnic and religious groups. Additionally, he pointed to legal and social frameworks that support peaceful coexistence.

Several international delegates praised President Masoud Barzani’s role in promoting stability and tolerance. Furthermore, they acknowledged his efforts to encourage dialogue and peaceful solutions in Syria. As a result, speakers described the Kurdistan Region as a model for coexistence.
