PM Masrour Barzani Marks International Mother Language Day, Emphasizes Linguistic Diversity

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani marked International Mother Language Day Kurdistan by reaffirming the government’s commitment to protecting and promoting linguistic diversity across the Region.

In a statement issued on the occasion, Barzani emphasized that language represents identity, culture, and historical continuity. He stressed that preserving mother languages strengthens social cohesion and mutual respect among communities.

International Mother Language Day Kurdistan serves as an annual reminder of the importance of safeguarding Kurdish and other languages spoken in the Region.
