KRG Interior Minister Warns ISIS Remains Significant Threat Across Iraq and Syria

Kurdistan Region Interior Minister Reber Ahmed warned that the ISIS threat Iraq Syria remains serious and persistent. He stressed that security forces must maintain vigilance and coordination to prevent instability.

Ahmed stated that ISIS continues to operate in remote and disputed areas across Iraq and Syria. He explained that the group exploits security gaps and regional tensions. Therefore, he called for stronger intelligence sharing and joint operations among regional and international partners.

The minister emphasized that security coordination remains essential to counter the ISIS threat Iraq Syria. Ahmed reaffirmed the Kurdistan Region’s commitment to working closely with federal Iraqi authorities. He stressed that joint security mechanisms help close operational gaps in disputed territories. Furthermore, he noted that continued coordination with international allies strengthens defensive capabilities.
