KOYA, Kurdistan Region – The Azadi Camp Koya drone attack left one person lightly injured after three unmanned aerial vehicles targeted the site, local officials confirmed.

The incident occurred on the outskirts of Koya, where Azadi Camp is located. Security sources reported that three drones approached the camp area before impact. Emergency teams responded immediately after the explosions.

Koya’s district commissioner stated that one individual sustained minor injuries. Medical teams treated the person on site before transferring them for further observation. Officials confirmed that no fatalities occurred.

The district commissioner emphasized that prior precautionary measures prevented greater casualties. Authorities had previously ordered the evacuation of large sections of the camp due to security concerns. Therefore, only a limited number of individuals remained at the location at the time of the attack.

The Azadi Camp Koya drone attack caused material damage to parts of the facility. However, officials said the structural impact remained limited. Security forces secured the perimeter and launched an initial assessment of the damage.
