President Masoud Barzani Calls on KRG, Federal Government of Iraq to Resolve Disputes Amid Regional Turmoil

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region –President Masoud Barzani has called on the (KRG) and the government of Iraq  in Baghdad to resolve their disputes through dialogue. He warned that ongoing disagreements could deepen instability.

President Masoud Barzani made the remarks as tensions continue to rise across the Middle East. Regional conflicts are increasing pressure on Iraq’s political and security situation.

He said Iraq is facing several serious challenges. These challenges require unity and cooperation among political leaders.

“At a time when war and instability dominate the region, Iraq faces several risks,” Barzani said. He added that political differences between parties have grown in recent months.

Barzani warned that continued disagreements could make the situation worse. He stressed that political divisions weaken the country during a sensitive period.

He urged leaders in both Erbil and Baghdad to prioritize national interests. Cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government is essential.

Barzani said dialogue remains the best way to resolve disputes. He called on political leaders to hold serious discussions and find practical solutions.

The Kurdish leader also warned that regional conflicts could affect Iraq directly. Internal unity, he said, is necessary to prevent further crises.

He emphasized the need to maintain stability across Iraq. Strong cooperation between Erbil and Baghdad would help strengthen national security.

President Masoud Barzani concluded by urging Iraqi leaders to work together. He said responsible leadership and dialogue are key to protecting the country’s future.
