Iran-Launched Drone Strike Kills Two Civilians in Erbil

A drone strike launched from Iran killed two civilians in Erbil province early Tuesday. The attack targeted a residential home in a rural area west of the city.

According to the Directorate General of Counter Terrorism. The drone was carrying explosives and hit a house in Zargazawi village, located in the Dara Shakran sub-district.   As a result, a married couple was killed in the தாக்க. Authorities confirmed that the victims were civilians. However, no additional casualties were immediately reported.  

Shortly after the incident, security forces arrived at the scene. Meanwhile, investigations began to determine further details. In addition, officials strongly condemned the attack. They described it as a violation of international law and warned of its serious implications.  

Residents reported hearing a loud explosion at the time of the strike. As a result, fear spread among nearby communities. However, no reports of further damage have been confirmed so far. This incident comes amid escalating regional tensions. Drone and missile attacks have increased across the Kurdistan Region in recent weeks.  

Because of this, authorities are expected to enhance security measures. At the same time, officials continue to call for accountability. The Erbil drone strike highlights growing risks to civilians. Therefore, officials stress the need for urgent action to prevent further attacks and protect stability in the region.
