Kurdistan Records 809 Drone and Missile Attacks Amid Rising Civilian Toll

The Kurdistan Regional Government says the Kurdistan Region has faced 809 drone and missile attacks over the past 50 days, causing civilian casualties, infrastructure damage, and growing security concerns.

First, officials said the attacks resulted in 20 fatalities and caused extensive damage to civilian areas and key infrastructure. The figures reflect one of the most intense periods of security escalation the region has faced in recent years.

Moreover, authorities said many of the strikes targeted or affected populated areas, raising concerns over civilian safety. Officials stressed that communities, public facilities, and economic infrastructure have all suffered from the attacks.

In addition, the government described the scale of the assaults as a serious threat to regional stability. The reported 809 attacks underscore the intensity of the hostilities and their impact on daily life across the Kurdistan Region.

Furthermore, officials warned that continued strikes have disrupted public services, affected economic activity, and created persistent fear among residents. Some attacks also reportedly damaged strategic infrastructure and displaced civilians in affected areas.

Meanwhile, the government emphasized that the Kurdistan Region has sought to remain outside broader regional conflicts. Officials reiterated calls for protecting civilians and preventing the region from becoming a battleground for wider confrontations.

The statement also renewed appeals for international attention to the security situation. Authorities urged stronger diplomatic efforts to halt attacks and preserve stability.

Additionally, officials highlighted the resilience of communities affected by repeated strikes while reaffirming commitments to public safety and emergency response.

Observers say the scale of the reported attacks illustrates the growing security pressures facing the region amid broader regional hostilities.
