KDP and PUK Agree to Start Parliament in September

A senior KDP official confirmed an agreement with the PUK to begin the Kurdistan Parliament’s new session in September. He explained that both parties are working closely to ensure the process moves smoothly.

The official stressed that cooperation between the two major parties remains essential. He added that joint efforts will strengthen the political process and create greater stability in the region.

During the announcement, he also highlighted the importance of forming a permanent cabinet. According to him, the parties want to complete this step before the upcoming parliamentary elections in November.

The KDP and PUK continue to hold meetings to finalize key details. Their discussions focus on reaching agreements that benefit citizens and institutions. Furthermore, they believe that unity will reduce tensions and allow for progress.
