The Kurdistan Regional Government’s Interior Ministry announced that several drone attacks were intercepted across the region. The incidents occurred at different locations on Thursday.
According to the Kurdistan Interior Ministry, security forces acted quickly. As a result, the drones were neutralized before causing damage. No casualties were reported. This highlights the effectiveness of defensive systems in place.
However, the ministry expressed concern over the continuation of such attacks. It stated that these incidents come despite ongoing efforts to reduce tensions. The Kurdistan Region, it said, remains committed to peace and stability.
Officials stressed that the KRG has maintained a policy of non-involvement. They reiterated that the region does not seek to be part of wider conflicts. Nevertheless, attacks have continued to target its territory.
The ministry warned that repeated strikes pose a serious risk. They threaten both civilian safety and regional stability. Therefore, it called for stronger measures to prevent further incidents.
The statement urged relevant authorities to take responsibility. It emphasized the need for coordination to address security challenges. Continued cooperation, it noted, is essential to prevent escalation.
The Interior Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to protecting citizens. It also pledged to continue monitoring the situation closely. Despite challenges, the Kurdistan Region remains focused on maintaining peace.
